You've seen her on Thursday Night Football. Or on the sidelines for TNT. But Taylor Rooks doesn't just cover sports – she taps into the human side of the game.
In a space where athletes are often headlines first and people second, Taylor shows up with warmth, authenticity, and the power of individuality.
It's her edge. It's how she's built her career. It's why she embodies the NOBULL mentality – and the Be U mindset. For Taylor, "Be U isn't just a mantra. It's a cheat code for life."

Start with Yourself
If you ask Taylor, showing up starts long before the lights and cameras turn on. It starts with quiet.
"I feel the most like myself on my morning walks," she says. "I like to start the day in my body – feeling my feet, hearing the sounds, and just being really present."
That grounding carries into everything she does. Whether it's game day or warming up for a spotlight interview, her routine is designed to get head and heart aligned. A green tea, some yoga or Pilates, and always a good sweat. "Working out before game day gets me in the right mental space – disciplined and focused to attack the day."
That's what Be U looks like: owning your space, your habits, and your headspace. No shortcuts. No compromises.

NOBULL Mentality in Action
When asked what being NOBULL means to her, Taylor doesn't hesitate:
"Being NOBULL means no excuses. You have a goal? You go and achieve that goal. You stay true to yourself. You believe that you can do whatever you want to. And you don't accept anything short of that."
That standard shows up in how she moves through her career in sports media – a field often labeled as male-dominated. Taylor rejects that. "I don't believe it's men that dominate it,"
she says. "When you're excellent at your job, you dominate it. Nobody owns the space, and so women don't need to be invited into sports. Women are sports."
Her superpowers? Connection. Warmth. Authenticity. And the consistency to show up with all of it, every day.
The Athletes Who Inspire Her
Taylor made it to the top by connecting, listening, and learning. And the athletes she admires most are the ones who embody the same no-bullshit approach she values.
She points to Serena Williams, Simone Biles, Micah Parsons, and Tom Brady as examples. Athletes who don't let obstacles stand in their way. Who believe in themselves at the highest level. Who make no excuses, demand accountability, and aren't afraid to own their greatness.
"One of my favorite things about Simone Biles," Taylor says, "is she has no problem telling you how great she is. And I think that's part of it – you've worked your entire life to be great at this one thing. Why shouldn't you be loud about it?"

Be U: The Cheat Code
Taylor is clear on why she aligns with NOBULL. Because showing up as yourself is everything.
"Be U is not just a mantra," she says. "It's kind of a cheat code for life. If you have the ability to be yourself, the world will open up. Authenticity is the number one commodity right now."
For Taylor, living authentically isn't about fitting into a box. It's about breaking out of one. "When you try to fit in, you're inherently putting a limit on who you can be and what you can be. But you have NO limits, apart from the ones you put on yourself."
That's the Be U mindset: no limits, no excuses. Just the work, the belief, and the discipline to show up as yourself, every day.
Never Anyone but Herself
We asked Taylor to fill in the blank: "I am ______." She said she's smart, motivated, disciplined, and kind. No word of a lie. But the thread that ties it all together? She's always herself – every damn day.
Her story is a reminder that being unapologetically you is less about confidence and more about consistency. Because when you show up, you find the strength to keep showing up. That's how you build a life, a career, and a community where authenticity is standard. And success is just second nature.
That's Be U. That's NOBULL. That's Taylor Rooks.
