I am writing this only having the previous Drive style. With that being written this looks to fix the only real problem with the other shoe. Within a very short time owning my first pair I opened a hole where my big toes are. Nobull sent me a replacement and it happened again. I love the feel and comfort of the Drives and I use them when I don’t care if people are going to notice holes in my shoes. I’ve put some serious miles on them and they are still extremely comfortable. This outer fabric would seem to eliminate that problem so I give it 5 stars on hope alone and that this makes it the perfect running shoe.
