At Life Time, you’ll find classes that fit just about every training goal. Alpha Strength focuses on progressive overload. GTX blends functional strength and treadmill work. Ultra Fit hones in on core and sprint training. Life Time covers the full spectrum of fitness. Hybrid XT connects it all.
Before Hybrid XT, members were getting great workouts. They were sweating. They were burning calories. But they wanted more. Prepared to take their fitness outside the four walls. Prepared to complete something demanding. Prepared to test themselves beyond a single class. We built Hybrid XT for them.
What is Hybrid XT?
Hybrid XT was created three years ago, before hybrid racing and performance-based training became mainstream. I saw where fitness was heading and recognized what was missing. There was no structured pathway that blended strength, engine work, pacing, and durability into one system.
Hybrid XT fills that gap. Whether that’s their first hybrid race or reaching a new PR, Hybrid XT builds the foundation. The goal is simple. Build people who can complete hard things. Build a strong community.
It's more than competition. It was designed to make athletes capable, physically and mentally, of completing something challenging.
In Hybrid XT, you can expect a deliberate blend of endurance and functional strength. This is hybrid training, a systematic way to build your engine so you can perform longer, better, and more reliably.
We combine running with rowing and SkiErg intervals to develop aerobic capacity and pacing under effort. Members learn how to control output instead of redlining every round. We layer in foundational strength patterns such as hinging, squatting, pushing, pulling, and loaded carries.
These movements build strength that translates outside the gym. People walk in expecting to sweat. They walk out realizing they trained. Not all workouts are created equal. Some are chaotic. Some are structured. Hybrid XT is structured. Every interval has intent. Every progression builds toward something measurable. At Life Time, our SGT (signature group training) programs are built for progression overload.

WHY IT MATTERS
Performance without community fades. Community without performance plateaus. Hybrid XT builds both. Members train alongside people chasing similar goals.
They see measurable progress in training under fatigue. And they naturally hold others accountable. When one member signs up for an event, others follow. It's contagious and it elevates everyone around. Hybrid XT gives members something to train for. It provides direction. It provides accountability. It creates confidence.
When competition day comes, they’re not guessing. They’re prepared.
HOW I GOT INTO TRAINING
I started coaching at Life Time in 2021. Before that, in 2020, I competed in my first HYROX. At the time, I was growing as a coach, but my own training lacked structure. I had intensity, but I needed discipline.
My foundation comes from professional soccer. That environment taught me structure, accountability, and how to train with purpose. When I stepped away from playing soccer, I knew I still needed something that demanded that same level of effort and focus. That’s when I found DEKA and HYROX.
Those competitions challenged my endurance, strength, pacing, and mental toughness all at once. They exposed weaknesses quickly and rewarded structure. I began competing before I joined Life Time, and once I started coaching, I realized something was missing inside our four walls.
We didn’t have a system that truly prepared members for that type of demand. Hybrid XT became that bridge. It gives Life Time members the structure, conditioning, and confidence to represent their club in competition or simply test themselves at a higher level than they thought possible.
THE VISION
Hybrid XT isn’t about trends. It is about capability. It connects strength, conditioning, pacing, and community into one clear system. It prepares members not just to compete, but to complete. It starts in a group setting. It can evolve into personal training. It can lead to competition. Or it can simply build a stronger, more resilient version of yourself.
Hybrid XT creates the foundation. From there, the ceiling is optional. I challenge readers to go check it out themselves. The best way I describe Life Time is a one-stop shop, helping you build a happier, healthier lifestyle.
