California Prop 65

What is California Proposition 65?

The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (commonly known as Proposition 65 or Prop 65) requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about exposures to chemicals that the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has identified as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm at certain exposure levels. These warnings apply broadly to many consumer products and environments to help consumers make informed choices. Additional details, including the Prop 65 warning, are available from OEHHA.

Why you may see a Prop 65 warning on NOBULL Nutrition Products

Companies may provide a Proposition 65 warning for several reasons, including the potential presence of listed chemicals that can occur naturally or arise from environmental factors such as air, soil, and water. These substances, including heavy metals like lead, can be found at trace levels in commonly consumed foods and throughout the food supply.

NOBULL Product ingredients and naturally occurring elements

NOBULL products contain plant- and animal-based ingredients. Naturally occurring elements, including heavy metals, are part of the nutrient cycles of plants and animals and may be present at trace levels due to uptake from soil and water. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is unsafe; rather, it is a notice regarding the potential presence of listed chemicals at levels that may trigger a warning under California law.

NOBULL’s commitment to quality and safety, and our testing approach

NOBULL is committed to product quality and safety. We utilize reputable third-party laboratories to evaluate raw materials and finished products for contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and microbes, and to verify label claims and product integrity.
