This is my second pair of Nobulls. I’ve been weight training in Trainers (aka Outwork) for 3 years, consistently 3 times a week, indoor only. I love them.

I bought the Alldays first and foremost for travel. I planned to use them for (1) a lot of walking, including some light offroad hiking, (2) some lighter workouts, either running or gym, and (3) since I’m a minimalist packer, evening restaurants. What I got was 2-1/2 out of 3.

I’ve now clocked many miles of city walking, and they literally are comfortable all day and evening--check. And I’ve worn them to restaurants, and my wife doesn’t complain--check. And I’ve used them for a modest gym workout, not my heaviest lifting--check.

But I cannot run in them. I’ve run primarily in Adidas for 30 years, variations of the Supernova. I prefer shoes that are not supercushioned, and I’m not a fan of today’s high-stack, high-drop shoes, nor do I like highly rockered shoes since I land flat foot, not heel-to-toe. What I found is that they’re too firm, almost like running on a rockered wooden sole. And the slight rockering made it cumbersome to land flat-foot.

So I’ll happily live, walk, hike, workout, and dine in these, but I won’t do much running.

Two other short notes: I take the same size in Alldays as I do in Trainers/Outwork. And the lacing system has pros and cons. The almost-single-pull system makes it fast to tie. But I have narrow feet, and I find it harder to get good even clamping pressure since the…
