Got these NoBull Impact in Superblossom after eyeing them for a long time. They finally went on sale, and I love the flowers and colorful soles.

That said, I’m not sure what to use these shoes for: They’re way too stiff and heavy for walking, cardio, weightlifting or HIIT.

The soles are very thick and inflexible, and the shoes are heavy and clunky. I kept hoping they’d relax, but it’s been over a month of regular wear with no change.

The tops are very stiff. I expected the “SuperFabric” to be more of a knit mesh than a hard, slick shell. I ordered a half a size bigger than normal to leave room for a different insole insert, and thank goodness because there is no give or flexibility along the toes or top of the foot.

The shoelace holes won’t fit thicker laces or no-ties easily. They’re more like fragile ribbon loops underneath the flap, so they create strange pressure points along the top of the foot without pulling the sides of the shoe snug like regular eyelets would.

The top eyelet is way too close against the ankle to be useable, but only lacing the second to top eyelet leaves the shoe so loose the heel slips. Two sets of laces came with the shoe — white and floral, very cute — but they are very slick and won’t stay tied.

Because I like the looks and got them on final sale, I will keep them for casual wear. But I’ll have to wear something else for daily workouts.

The NOBULL Black Gum Trainer+ shoes are great for crushing workouts, from lifting to cardio, with their stable base and solid grip. The fit is snug but comfortable, providing the support needed for all types of training or all day wear. They look sharp with their classic black design and gum sole, making them versatile for the gym and beyond. However, after about three months of consistent use, the inner sole starts to lose some of its cushioning, which makes them less comfortable over time. But still about my 3rd or 4th purchased pair. Still, if you’re after a durable, stylish pair of trainers that perform well, these are a solid pick!
